Four Barrels single malt whisky was distilled using high grade barley and the purest water from the Southern Tasmanian Highlands. The barrels were originally used to mature port and are made from French oak. Distilling & ageing took place within the walls of original sandstone buildings of a now infamous Bothwell Estate.
Barrel 1736 is old gold in colour with aromas of stone fruits, it is very smooth on the palate with hints of maple syrup and butterscotch.
A premium Tasmanian whisky to be enjoyed as it is (or with a few drops of water).
