Four Barrels single malt whisky was distilled using high grade barley and the purest water from the Southern Tasmanian Highlands. The barrels were originally used to mature port and are made from French oak. Distilling & ageing took place within the walls of original sandstone buildings of a now infamous Bothwell Estate.

Barrel 1944, purchased from our son-in-law, also escaped the confines of Bothwell. It is old gold in colour with figs and raisins to the fore and aromas of stone fruits. It has a lovely nose and has a mild warmth in the mouth and a nice length on the palate.

In the cask for 6 years and out of the barrel abv @ 47.2%

Enjoyable as is or with a few drops of water.
